Donna Y. Wilkey 1937 - 2008
Donna Y. Wilkey, 71, of Kilbourne, passed away at 5:32 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at OSF-St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born February 10, 1937 in Bath to Cecelia (Nall) Tarvin. She married Jerry Wilkey and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1997. Mrs. Wilkey is survived by three daughters, Kimberly (Steve) Bartels of Chandlerville, Bridget (Geno) Agans of Kilbourne, Jill (companion -Terry Basket) Sizemore of Athens, and three sons, Bradley (Brenda) Wilkey of Kilbourne, Curtis (Illa) Wilkey of Havana and Jerry (Debbie) Wilkey of Bath 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by companion, Nelson Sizemore of Kilbourne and his children, Jamie (Brandy) McAtee of North Carolina and Sonia Shawgo of Kilbourne, two sisters, Betty Armstrong of Havana and Shirley Walton of Okachobee, FL and one brother, Mike Tarvin of Okachobee, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Jacqueline Gilmore and one great-grandson Hayden McGrew. Mrs. Wilkey was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxillary Post #6408 in Havana. She worked at Caterpillar Inc., and then Fashion Bug and finally retired from Bergner’s. Visitation will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2008. Funeral services will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Jamie Dearing will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Kilbourne Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Online memorial contributions may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements. |
