Dora Turner
(1929 - 2006)
Dora Mae Turner, 77, of Oklahoma City,
OK, died on August 6, 2006 at 8:05 am in Oklahoma City. She was born on March
26, 1929 in Brownsville, Kentucky to Willie R. and Mildred A. Vincent Elmore.
She married Charles A. Turner on April 9, 1949 in Springfield, IL. He preceded
her in death.
She is survived by three daughters,
Margaret Romaker of Hermann, MO, Mildred Mascote of Oklahoma City, OK, and Pam
Tornquist of Clarkridge, AR; one son, Robert
Turner of Rockville, MD; two sister, Dorothy Emmett of Kasbeer, IL, and
Wilma Walton of Troy, MO; and nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren;
one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Charles Turner; one brother, O’Neil Elmore; one great grandson; and
one great granddaughter.
Mrs. Turner has previously worked as a
housekeeper at Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg.
Graveside
services will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rose
Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, IL. Rev. Thomas Eggley will be officiating.
Visitation will one hour prior to the graveside service
at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Memorial contributions may be
made to Sunny Acres Home.
