Doris J. Lane

1937 - 2011

Doris J. Lane, 74, of Chandlerville, passed away at her home at 5:53 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18, 2011. She was born June 6, 1937 in Mason County to Howard “Cak” and Bealuh Pearl (Otto) Mibbs. She married Morris L. “Bud” Lane on March 10, 1954 in Havana. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2006.

Mrs. Lane is survived by three sons, Rodney (Carolyn) Lane, Randy Lane, Ronnie (Cheryl) Lane and one daughter, Candy (Joseph) Having, all of Chandlerville. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother, Junior (Debbie) Mibbs of Ashland, sister Edith Rich of Mt. Sterling, and half-brother, Steve Miller of Bartonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Elvine Mae Mibbs and step-father Elmer Miller.

Mrs. Lane loved embroidery, yard work, mowing, mushrooming and, in general, spending time outdoors. She always enjoyed taking care of her family.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2011 also at the funeral home. Rev. Duane Turley will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Bethel Cemetery.
