Dorothy Elizabeth Creasey 1917 - 2008 Dorothy Elizabeth Creasey, 90, of Havana, passed away at her home at 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, April 06, 2008 with her granddaughter and friends at her side. She was born December 8, 1917 in Wayland, Iowa to George and Vertie (Yount) Lute. She married Charles Creasey in Missouri in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1981. Mrs. Creasey is survived by one daughter, Sandra Jo (Gordon) Reedy, of Table Grove, IL, one granddaughter, Teresa (Matt) Kline of Havana, two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Amanda Kline and many loving caregivers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Yount, who raised her after her parents died, a twin brother Donald Lute, daughter Sara Ann Nilan in March of 2004, and one grandson, Lance Christopher Reedy in October of 1993. Mrs. Creasey worked for 40 years in the nursing field and in home health care. She attended services at the Havana Church of the Nazarene, and was a member of Forest Hill Christian Church in San Francisco. A memorial service will be held at the Havana Church of the Nazarene on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Rev. Troy Horne and Rev. Sue Roat will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Havana Church of the Nazarene or to Spoon River Hospice. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
