Earl Raymond Gillmore
1916 - 2010

Earl Raymond Gillmore, 94, of Havana, formerly of Easton, passed away at 5:34 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Havana Health Care. He was born January 20, 1916 in Mason County, IL to Alva and Alta Gladys (Haynes) Gillmore. He married Hazel VanEtten on March 8, 1938. She preceded him in death on November 29, 1999.
Mr. Gillmore is survived by four daughters, Donna (James) Conklin, of Petersburg, Jean (Ray) Carlson of Loveland, CO, Carol (Richard) Walker of Havana and Bonnie Gillmore of Loveland, CO. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Brian (Suzanne) Conklin, Neil Conklin, Susan (Mike) Stier, all of Petersburg, Gregory (Caitlin) Keenan of Longmont, CO, Darrin Walker of Havana, Michael (Michelle) Walker of Canton, Andrea (Darrell) Byrd of Havana, Patricia Gillmore, of Denver, CO as well as ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one grandson.
Mr. Gillmore farmed in and around Easton for most of his life. He was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church and the Easton Optimist Club, where he had served as president.
Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Easton Cemetery. Chaplin Lauren Padgett will officiate.
