Edith C. Triplett, age 101, Sauk Rapids, MN, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home, Sauk Rapids, MN.
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 11:00am at the Hurley Funeral Home, Mason City, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery, Mason City, IL.
Edith was born September 19, 1909 in Menard County, IL to William and Mary (Jefferys) Cue. She graduated from Greenview High School in 1930. On July 18, 1931 Edith was united in marriage to Corey Raymond Triplett by the Presbyterian minister in Greenview, IL. She was employed by the Mason City Draft Board during World War II until it closed. Edith then was employed by Real Estate and Insurance Office of Horace Whitney for 23 years, the business was then sold to Paul Martine and Edith worked for him until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of United Presbyterian Church of over 50 years and was a past elder of the church. Edith was also a 50 year member of Eastern Star, Sweet Home Rebekah Lodge, Mason City Woman’s Club and Past Noble Club.
Survivors include a son, William (Patricia) Triplett of St. Cloud, MN; three grandchildren, Bradley Triplett, Scott Triplett and Brett Triplett; and four great grandchildren, Daniel Triplett, Shannon Wilson, Corey Wilson and Carrie Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in January 1982, daughter, Delora Lee Wilson, grandson, Timothy Wilson, four sisters, Eva Hanoner, Sarah Lindsey, Fern Goodin, and Marion Shearborn, and one brother, Thompson Cue.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
