Edna L Kastendick (1920-2009) Barling, AR - Edna L. Kastendick, 89, of Barling, Arkansas, formerly of Havana, IL passed away at 8:27 am Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 at the Methodist Nursing Home in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born April 21, 1920 in Mason County the daughter of Edward L. And Margaret M. Nehmelman Pulling. She married Arnold Kastendick March 30, 1946 in Havana and he died March 1, 1998. Mrs. Kastendick was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana. She is survived by one son; Jon (Kathy) Kastendick of Barling, AR, two daughters; Arlene (Jerry) Krell of Centennial, CO and Mary Kay (Bobby) Davis of Tenaha, TX; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Wilma Pulling. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana conducted by Pastor Martin W. Liebmann. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana.
