Edna Stone

Edna M. Stone, 88, of Petersburg, formerly of Middletown, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Heritage Manor in Springfield. She was born on November 19, 1920 in Nilwood, IL to August J. and Glenna Hall Albert.

She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn (Wendell) Koke of Springfield; two sons, James (Edie) Bumgardner of Sulfer Springs, Arkansas, and Ervin Stone of Beardstown; a brother, Norman (Florette) Albert of Greenview; two sisters, Earleen (George) Rogers of Petersburg, and Dolly (Milo) Todd of Greenview; thirteen grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, and a brother preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Petersburg. Pastor Thomas Eggley will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2008 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will be in Farmer’s Point Cemetery in Tallula.
