Edna Rose Eeten

Edna Rose Eeten, 93, of Delavan, died at Pekin Manor in Pekin, IL at 4:20 a.m. Sunday, January 22, 2006. She was born on July 23, 1912 in Hartsburg, IL to George M. and Anna (Streetmyer) Hellman. She married Fred J. Eeten on January 27, 1932 in Hartsburg. He died September 2, 1995.
Mrs. Eeten is survived by six sons: Stanley (JoAnn) Eeten of Delavan, Floyd (Evelyn) Eeten of Pekin, Jim (Marlene) Eeten of San Jose, Gary (Sharon) Eeten of Mapleton, William “Pete” ( Della) Eeten of Pekin, and Ron (Jane) Eeten of Eureka, IL. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Eeten was a member of the San Jose United Methodist Church. Within her church, she was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Quilting and Rugmaking committees. She also loved to embroider. She assisted her husband on the family farm, near Delavan, for her whole married life.
Funeral services will be held at the San Jose United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2006. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 25, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., also at her church. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose. Rev. Stephen King will officiate.
