Edward Lee Jones

Edward Lee Jones, 77, of Bath, passed away at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg on Saturday, January 28, 2012. He was born April 9, 1934 in Springfield, IL to Clarence and Ruth (Cox) Jones. He married Betty Louise Sembell on September 15, 1952.

Mr. Jones is survived by three sons, Edward (Bonita) Jones, Jr. of Loami, Mark (Rhonda) Jones of Pensacola, Florida, and Michael (Deanna) Jones of Greenview; two daughters, Betsy (Richard) Douglas of Jackson, AL, Rebecca Jones of Bath; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Wes and Ron, and a sister, Shirley. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son, Fred Allen Jones; daughter, Betty Mae Jones; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one brother, Carl.

Mr. Jones worked at Allis Chalmers and was also self-employed as an auto mechanic.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Snicarte. Rev. Judy Vidakovich will officiate.
