Edyth Frances Williams 1932-2009
Edyth Frances Williams, 77, of Mason City, IL, died on Wednesday October 21, 2009 at St. John’s Hospital. She was born June 16, 1932 to Frank and Nellie (Oakes) Williams in Glasgow, Ky. She married Warren Williams on December 31, 1951 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death in 1979. Surviving is one son: Mark A. (Deborah) Williams of Springfield, IL. Also surviving is one grandson: Travis Williams and two step grandsons: Adam and Aaron Griffith. One brother: Harold (Dorena) Williams of Easton, IL. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother; Ted Williams. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Mason City. She was a very active member with the Royal Neighbors. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 23, 2009 at the United Presbyterian Church in Mason City, visitation will be Thursday night from 5-7 at the funeral home. Aaron Griffith will be officiating. Burial will be at the Walker’s Grove Cemetery in Easton, IL. Memorials may be left to St. John’s Hospice or to the United Presbyterian Church. Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of the arrangements.
