Eileen Naomi Altig 1918 - 2008
Eileen Naomi Altig, 90, of Greenview, died on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at St. Johnʼs Hospital. She was born on April 14, 1918 in Greenview to Fred and Nellie Sampson Weidhuner. She married James D. Altig. He preceded her in death in 1961. She is survived by one son, Ronald Altig of Starkville, Mississipp; and two sisters, Nedra Howell of Greenview, and Doris Sachtleben of Springfield. Her husband preceded her in death. Mrs. Altig had worked at New Salem State Park for close to 30 years, retiring as assistant site manager. She was a member of the Greenview Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Greenview Christian Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
