Eleanor Crawford
(1915 -2005)
PETERSBURG -
Eleanor Z. Hollis Crawford, 90, of
Petersburg died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home. She
was born Aug. 18,1915, in Petersburg, the daughter of Thomas P. and
Laura Zenetta Jonston Hollis. She
married Rogers K. Crawford in
1937; he preceded her in death in
1988.
Mrs. Crawford was a registered
nurse for more than 50 years and
worked with the Menard county
Health Board for more than 30
years.
She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Petersburg, the
Menard County Garden Club and Menard County
Home Extension. She also was involved with the Menard County Rescue Squad and the Quilting
Club.
Survivors: son, David (wife,
Sherry) Crawford of Petersburg;
daughter, Shirley Ann (husband,
Carl) Jones of Lincoln; and three
grandchildren.
Services: 1 1 a.m. Saturday, Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, the Rev Julie Peterson officiating.
Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Petersburg.
Memorials may be made to the Menard County
Rescue Squad.
