Elsie Lucille Whitehead 1921 - 2007
Elsie Lucille Whitehead, 85, of Lewistown, formerly of Chatham, Easton, Lincoln, Peoria and Kilbourne, IL, died at Graham Hospital in Canton at 7:05 a.m. on Sunday, October 07, 2007. She was born November 25, 1921 in Kilbourne to Walter and Anna (Lober) Blakeley. Mrs. Whitehead is survived by two daughters: Bonnie (Ron) Fletcher of Mason City and Linda (Jim) Swope of Lewistown, IL; one son: Dennis (Pam) Whitehead of Springfield, IL; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Lyle Whitehead and one sister: Marie Gregory. She was retired from the State of Illinois where she had worked as a dietitian for several years. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Rev. Joe Brisneo will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
