Erma Love Tisdale

(1910 - 2005)

      PETERSBURG — Erma Love Tisdale, 95, of Petersburg died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at Villa Health Care East in Sherman. She was born April28,l910 in Rankin, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Maude Love Mehl Boyer. She married Theodore R. Tisdale in 1931 in Havana; he died in 1951. A son, Lynn Tisdale, also preceded her in death.

      Mrs. Tisdale was a nurse’s aide at Southern Colony in Union Grove, Wis. She was a member of Greenview Christian Church.

      Survivors: two Sons, Ted (wife, Arlyn) Tisdale of Petersburg and Duane (wife, Martha) Tisdale of Greenview; daughter, Rosalyn (husband Daniel) Van Eman of Sherman; nine grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Ivan (wife Lorraine) Boyer of Los Molinas, Calif.

Services: 11 am, Thursday at the  Greenview Christian Church. Pastor Paul Steele presiding. Burial: Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview, IL. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Menard County Rescue Squad, Menard County Paramedic Unit or the Greenview Christian Church.
