Esther M. Blessman

(1910-2005)

Esther Blessman of Bath, died 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at Havana Healthcare Center.  She was born November 9, 1910 to Archie and Annie (Vaughn) Ogden in Oakford, IL.  She married Freeman Blessman October 19, 1929. He died March 24, 2004. 

Survivors include one son: Larry Blessman of Bath, IL; one daughter: Mrs. Jim (Evelyn) Fletcher of Havana, IL; one sister: Mrs. Marshall (Dorothy) Walters of Peoria, IL; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son: Russell Blessman, one sister: Effie Clemmons, and one brother: Russell Ogden.

Mrs. Blessman was a homemaker, member of the Mason County Home Extension-Duck Haven Unit, OES #542 in Chandlerville, IL and Fairview United Methodist Church.

Services will be held at Fairview United Methodist Church 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2005.  The Rev. Mike Hopps will officiate with burial in Fairview Cemetery.  A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana, IL.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Fairview Cemetery Fund.
