Eva Childress

Eva Childress, 82, of Oakford, died on May 14, 2006 at Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg. She was born on October 15, 1923 in Mobile, AL to Henry and Maude Phillips Lister. She married Robert Childress in Mansfield, LA.

She is survived by a nephew, gene (Sandy) Benjamin of Oakford; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Bobby Lister of Morgan City, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son , one sister, and four brothers.

Mrs. Childress was a  waitress.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, LA. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Mansfield, LA.
