Fae Kern

Fae June Kern, 85, of Pleasant Plains, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born on May 21, 1925 in Chandlerville, IL to William and Wilma McDonald Fielden. She married Jimmie Kern on October 7, 1965 in Salisbury.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie of Pleasant Plains; son, Jay Sielschott; daughter, Cheri (Tom) Shumate; brother, Marvin Fielden; sister, Mae Elizabeth Garner; and granddaughter, Amanda (Jeff) Harris.

She was a homemaker and was a member of Salisbury Baptist Church. She was an avid pet lover, gardener, and a wonderful cook.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Rev. Kevin Curry will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Salisbury Cemetery.
