Floyd Hall

1928 - 2006

Forest City, IL - Floyd Hall, 78, formerly of Forest City, IL passed away at 10:30 pm Oct. 28, 2006 at the Osceola Regional Hospital in Osceola, FL. He was born May 13, 1928 in Mason City, IL the son of Jesse and Eula Hamblin Hall. He married Betty Morris August 18, 1950 in Manito, IL and she survives.

Mr. Hall was a member of Neptune Roads Baptist Church in Kissimmee, FL and attended Forest City Community Church. He was a member of The Pekin Moose Lodge, Manito American Legion Post and he had worked at Caterpiller, Inc for 23 years as an assembler retiring 1989. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War.

He is survived by three daughters, Merrill (Kenneth) Faux of Pekin, IL; Sharon Ritchie of Kissimmee, FL and Diana Cole of St. Cloud, FL; one son, Roger (Maggie) Hall of Pekin; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Diana) Hall of Fort Lauderdale, FL and one sister, Clara Ackerman of Little Rock, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday, Nov. 3, 2006 at the Forest City Community Church conducted by Rev. Tom Guengerich. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to either of his churches.
