Forrest Wayne Thomas

(1990 - 2005)

Forrest Wayne Thomas, 15, of Petersburg died July 18, 2005 at his residence. He was born April 30, 1990 in Springfield, IL to Forrest James and Emily Frick Thomas.

He was a student at PORTA Junior High School. He had just graduated 8th grade. He was a member of the New Salem Assembly of God Church, helped with PORTA Little Jays Wrestling, Petersburg Boy Scout Troop #54, and he was involved in the Menard County Mentor Program.

Surviving are his mother, Emily Thomas of Petersburg, two brothers, Robert Thomas and Kevin Thomas at home; 2 sisters, Ashley Thomas at home, and Melissa Sprung of Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandmother, and an uncle.

Services were held July 25, 2005 at 11:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.
