Frances A. Long

(1954-2011)

Frances A. Long, 57 of San Jose died at 12:30pm on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Hopedale Medical Complex in Hopedale.  She was born on January 15, 1954, the daughter of James F. and Marilyn (Hitchcock) Dennis in Lincoln IL. 

Survivors are Daniel James Long, Jennifer Long, both of Gurnee, IL, Heather Jo Long, Jacob Collins both San Jose, Step-son Bradley Long, Heather Long, both of Kenosha, WI.  Also surviving are one granddaughter, Samantha Nicole Long, one brother, Douglas Scott Long.  She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and grandparents.

Ms. Long was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, a graduate of San Jose High School.  She was employed with the USDA as a Farm Tech, worked with the US Army Civil Service and was a military wife for 30 years and also a secretary. 

Funeral services will be at 10:00am, Friday, May 27, 2011 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, rural San Jose; Pastor J. Derek Riddle will officiate.   Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7 Thursday evening, also at the church.  Memorial donations can be left to her church.  Hurley Funeral Home in San Jose is in charge of arrangements.
