Frances E. Becker
1907 - 2008
Frances E. Becker, 100, of
Mason City, died at 1:45pm, Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Mason City Area
Nursing Home. She was born May 28, 1907 the daughter of James and Addie (Scovill)
Palmer in Mason City. She married Lloyd Becker on November 17, 1928 in Pekin.
He died November 11, 1999.
Survivors include one niece: Genevieve Case of
Mesa, AZ, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
three brothers and one sister.
Mrs. Becker was a member of the Mason City United Methodist Church, Eastern Star
and was very active in the
Illinois Polled Herefords Association. She also worked for Cackley’s
General Store. Mrs. Becker and her husband also farmed for many years.
Services will be 11:00am, Friday, April 25, 2008 at the United Methodist Church,
Nash Shawgo will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service,
burial at
Mason City Cemetery. Hurley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be left to either her church or the Mason City Area Nursing Home.
