Frances J. Hammond 1936-2009
Frances J. Hammond, 73, of Mason City, died at 12:55pm on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at her residence. She was born on May 5, 1936, the daughter of Hobart and Frieda (McGinnis) Burns in Mason City. Survivors are three sons: Terry Hammond of Havana, James Hammond of Pekin, Kevin Hammond of Decatur; one daughter: Theresa Fields of Houston, TX; nine grand children; 11 great-grand children; two brothers: Robert and William Burns and two sisters, Beverly Grimes and Barbara Carter. Ms. Hammond is preceded in death by her parents. Frances was a homemaker. She was active with the ASPCA. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to ASPCA.
