Frances M. Stevenson August 22,1913- September 8, 2007 Frances M.Lewis Stevenson, 94, of Elyria passed away Saturday,
September 8, 2007. Born in Easton, Illinois on August 22,1913 she attended
Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois and taught the first eight grades in a
one room school house in Leveldale, Illinois. She married and in 1935 moved to
Whiting, Indiana to raise her family. She was an active member of the Whiting
United Methodist Church for over 60 years and an avid reader,gardner and
seamstress. Frances moved to the Willows in Holmdel, NJ in 2000 and the
Wesleyan Villiage in May 2005 to live near her family. Surviving are a son, David L. and Mary Carolyn Stevenson of
Wellington, OH, two grandchildren; Amy and Roger Sasack of New London, OH and D.
Andrew and Jacquelyn McClain Stevenson of Atlanta, GA and two
great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Nolan Sasack. Preceeding her in death were her husband, Howard J.Stevenson,
her parents, Dilliard A.and Eula Lynn Lewis of Easton, Illinois and her,sister
Helen Lewis Hethcote of Anderson, South Carolina. Private services conducted by Hurley Funeral Home will be held
1:00 Thursday, September 13 at the Mason City, Illinois Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association,
Cleveland Area Chapter, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, OH 44120-1013. |
