Harvey Freda Carter, 90, of Jacksonville, passed away at Prairie Village Health Care Center in Jacksonville at 7:20 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2011. She was born in Kentucky to James Thomas and Eunice Effie (Hutson) Bone. She married Ray Carter and he preceded her in death in 1990.

Mrs. Carter is survived by one son, Clayton R. Carter of Chandlerville, ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four daughters, Ozzie, Mary, Frankie, Freda, son Harold as well as two sisters, Thelma and Vernon and two brothers, Damon and Harold.

Graveside services will be held at Chandlerville Cemetery on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville from 1:00 until 2:30 on Sunday afternoon, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at Chandlerville Cemetery.
