Frieda Marie Neumann

(1904 - 2006)

Frieda Marie Neumann, 101, of Petersburg, died on February 12, 2006 at 11:35 a.m. at Sunny Acres Home. She was born June 23, 1904 in Altamont, IL to Fred and Esther Mittlestadt Profrock. She married Ben Neumann on December 29, 1934 in Altamont, IL. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Neumann is survived by one daughter, Shirley (Robert) Garvin of Petersburg, one daughter-in-law, Joann Neumann, four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Neumann was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg, where she was involved in the Ladies Aid Group. She was also a member of the Menard County Home Bureau. She enjoyed quilting. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Gross officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 15 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg from 5 -7 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg. 

Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
