Garry Ray Dial

Topeka, IL - Garry Ray Dial, 59 of 21972 Lake St., Topeka, IL died at 11:20 am Sun. July 9, 2006 at his residence. He was born May 22, 1947 in Benton, IL the son of Ray W. and Jennieve Jones Dial. He married C. J. Timmerman June 6, 1992 in Reno, NV and she survives.

Mr. Dial was a member of the Chautauqua Lake Sportsman’s Club, A Vikings fan, an outdoor enthusiast who loved to camp and fish and a artist who painted, sculpted and worked with wood. He worked for many years at Keystone in Bartonville until he retired. He was a 1966 graduate of Pekin High School.

He is survived by one son, Joe (Char) Dial of Minier, IL; a step daughter, Cherise Timmerman of Pekin, IL; six grandchildren; two brothers, Larry (Debbie) Dial of Pekin; Ron (Connie) Dial of Lebanon, OR; and a sister Nancy A. Birkmeier of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be he on Wed. July 12, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana with burial in the Presbyterian Cemetery near Topeka. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
