George M. Brauer

(1920 - 2006)

George M. Brauer, 86, of Oakford, died on August 6, 2006 at 6:47 am. He was born on February 24, 1920 to Henry and Talitha McHenry Brauer. He married Ruth Bienhoff on May 24, 1958 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Danny) Pesch of Sherman, IL, and Nancy (Jerry) Brooks of Oakford; one son James (Susan) Brauer of Oakford; twelve grandchildren; one sister, Avis Hull of Indianapolis, IN; and one brother, Irving Brauer of Amarillo, TX.

Mr. brauer was a pork producer. He attended the Oakford United Methodist Church. He was a founding member and past President of Illinois Pork Producers Association.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. at the Oakford United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held two hours proir to the service. Burial will be in Oakford Cemetery.
