Georgia Sinclair

(1919 -2010)

Georgia Geneva Sinclair, 91, of Tallula, went to meet her Lord on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Menard Convalescent Center. She was born on June 24, 1919 in Tallula to Richard and Eva Homer Potter. She married John Matthew Sinclair in Newport, IN on July 17, 1937.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Madelyn “Sudy”  (George) Hamrick of Springfield; two sons, John R. (Sue) Sinclair of Tallula, and R. David (Bonnie) Sinclair of Petersburg; a brother-in-law, Robert Dale (Georgia) Sinclair of Petersburg; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Her husband, two brothers, two sisters, and one grandson preceded her in death.

 

She worked for Pillsbury Company for 31 years as a lab technician. She was a member of Tallula Baptist Church.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 am at Tallula Baptist Church. Rev. Robert Dale Sinclair and Rev. John Ray will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will be in White Cemetery in Tallula.
