Gerald Pope

Gerald Lamoine Pope, 81, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg. He was born on April 22, 1928 in Sorento, IL to Lester Elector and Temperance Jane Rowe Pope. He married Norma Jean Bookstaver.

A son, Francis Duwayne Pope of Okalahoma City, OK, survives him.

He was preceded in death by his wife; son, Gerald Leroy Pope; two brothers Ralph Duwayne Pope and Francis Ransom Pope ;and a sister, Marie Ines.

He was a machine repairer for Fiat Allis, and later worked for J.B. Hunt as a truck driver. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Warsaw, MO.
