Gladys E. Carter 1916 - 2008
Gladys E. Carter, 91, of Petersburg died on Sunday, February 24, 2008, at 7:50 a.m. at Sunny Acres Home. She was born on March 3, 1916 in Menard County, IL to Greene and Carrie Gonterman Duncan. She married Harry Carter on April 7, 1934. She is survived by two daughters, Dolores (David) Cramer of Springfield, and Phyllis (Jim) Haddick of Petersburg; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. Her husband, parents, four brothers, three sisters, and one great grand daughter, Hailie Moss, preceded her in death. Mrs. Carter and her husband Harry had been administrators at Sunny Acres Home. She was a member of Greenview United Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 28,
2008 at 11:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. Allan Dean will be
officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services.
