Gloria Eve Kaler
1938 - 2011

Gloria Eve (Pollitt) Kaler, 73, of
Chandlerville died on November 12, 2011. She was born February 23, 1938, in
Fulton County to Guy and Ruth (Carson) Pollitt. She married Robert Kaler on
August 11, 1973, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Survivors include one daughter,
Amy (Mack) Ishmael of Chandlerville and four sons Chris (Debra) Bishop and Kent
Bishop of Havana, Henry Kaler of Chandlerville, and Matthew Kaler of Bath.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren Brent, Erica, Phillip, Kristian
and Andrew Bishop, Blair Ishmael, Makayla Meyer and Drake Kaler, and three
great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include three
brothers, Norman Pollitt of Lewistown, Lloyd “Tink” Pollitt of Grottoes,
Virginia and Harry Pollitt of
Carlinville; one sister Joyce Drescher of Tennessee.
She was employed by Grant’s
Florist in Havana prior to her retirement. She was a member of Chandlerville
Christian Church (Disciples of Chrst) where she was a former Sunday School
teacher.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, one son, Victor Brent Bishop on Oct. 8, 2011, one brother and
one sister.
Visitation will be held on
Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home
in Havana. Funeral services will be held at the Chandlerville Christian Church
at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 with visitation one hour prior to
the service. Rev. Jim Waterman will officiate. Burial will follow the services
at Bath Cemetery.
