Harold Eskew

(1931 -2010)

Harold J. Eskew, 78, of Sherman, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at his residence. He was born on September 25, 1931 in Sangamon County, to Gloyd and Ethel Osborne Eskew. He married Margaret Clark on August 22, 1994.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Sherman; three sons, Hal Eskew of Chicago, James Morrell of Petersburg, and Charles (Effie) Morrell of Riverton; three daughters, Laura (Jim) Laesch of Newark, Mary Ruth (Michael) Haggard of Springfield, and Elizabeth (Gerry) Drake of Springfield; nineteen grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death.

He had worked as a television engineer. He was a past member of EAA Chapter 770. He was also a member of the Gold Wing Club. He was a US Army veteran.

Visitation will be on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg. A memorial service will begin at 8:00 pm.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
