Havana, IL - Harold W. "Hackie" Lane, 56, of 915 S. McKinley St., Havana, IL passed away at 6:10 am Sat. Dec. 16, 2006 at Sunset Rebab and Healthcare Center in Canton, IL. He was born Nov. 7, 1950 in Havana the son of Woodrow and Corda Huston Lane.
Harold was a bus driver for Havana Schools; a US Army Veteran Serving in Viet Nam and also a member of Havana Post #6408 VFW.
He is survived by his mother, Corda McClure, of Havana; two sons, Harold W. "Buster" Lane of Astoria and Joshua C. Lane of Las Vegas, NV; one daughter, Jennifer Mann of Astoria and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Lyndia (Martin) David of Marietta, IL; Paulette (Rex) Howard of Ipava, IL and Crystal (Bob) Stufflebeam of Canton, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Wed. Dec. 20, 2006 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana conducted by Rev. James Windsor. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a trust fund in his name.
