Harriett Jean Zwolinski 1919 - 2008 Harriet Jean Zwolinski, 89, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital at 7:10 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2008. She was born February 8, 1919 in Carrollton, IL to Kenneth and Marvel (Seger) Short. She married Thomas Zwolinski on January 4, 1942 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1988. Mrs. Zwolinski is survived by one daughter: Tommie Ann (Paul) Gard of Westminster, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and one brother, Eugene Short. Mrs. Zwolinski was a member of the Central Christian Church in Havana. She was also a former member of the Havana Women in Networking and worked as a bookkeeper for the Havana School District, retiring in 1979. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
