Helen E. Pryor

(1922-2010)

Helen E. Pryor, 87 of Mason City died at 7:20pm on May 30, 2010 at the Mason City Area Nursing Home.  She was born on December 12, 1922 in San Jose, IL, the daughter of Frank Rollo and Lena M. (Rabbe) Norton.  She married Kenneth Pryor on October 12, 1946 at the Christian Church in Mason City, he survives. 

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; one son: Michael (Sandy) Pryor of Mapleton; one brother: Bill Norton; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Mrs. Pryor is preceded in death by one brother and one sister. 

Mrs. Pryor was a member of the Mason City Christian Church, which she was very active.  She served as a board member for many years, a Deaconess.  She graduated Mason City High School in 1941. 

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Hurley Funeral Home.  Nash Shawgo will officiate. Burial will b e at Mason City Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5–8 at the funereal home.  Memorials may be left to St. Jude’s.  Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City is in charge of the arrangements.
