Helen E. Schaad 85, of 200 N. Schrader, Havana IL died at 5:45pm Sunday November 20, 2005 at the Havana Healthcare Center. She was born April 18, 1920 in Havana Township. The daughter of Guy Cameron and Cora Elizabeth Akridge Howell.

She first married Walter Sarff who proceeded her in death January 23, 1967. She later married John A. Schaad on June 14, 1969 in Jacksonville IL and he survives. Also Surviving are two sons; Alan(wife: Donna) Sarff and Daryl(wife:Roberta) Sarff both of Havana; 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. A sister Guyneth(husband:Marvin) Neikirk also survives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and a sister Florence Long.

Mrs. Schaad was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Havana and a longtime volunteer at the Mason District Hospital in Havana.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday November 23, 2005 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Rev. Robert Smith officiating with the burial in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. The Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mason District Hospital Foundation or to the First United Methodist Church.
