Helen Marie Ruppel

Helen Marie Ruppel, 91, of Petersburg
died on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 5:20 pm at the Memorial Medical Center
in Springfield. She was born on June 29, 1915 in Petersburg to William and
Myrtle Stowell Satorius. She married Powell Ruppel on February 10, 1937 in
Petersburg. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, David
(Mabel) Ruppel of Oakford; two daughters, Marilyn (Late Husband, John) Baum
of Petersburg, and Barbara (Roger) Ogden of Athens, IL; one brother, Carroll
(Arlene) Satorius of Ashland; five grandchildren, Steve (Dawn) Ogden of
Chatham, Michael (Stephanie) Ogden of Normal, Brian (Kim) Ogden of Athens,
Kristi Ruppel of Springfield, and Kevin Ruppel of Oakford; and seven dreat
grand children, Andrew, Zane, Lauren, Matthew, Jonathan, Mark, and Daniel
Ogden.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, three brothers, Howard Satorius, W.G. Satorius, and Woodrow
Satorius, and one sister, Hermina Murphy.
Mrs. Ruppel was a homemaker. She was a
member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Petersburg, Bethlehem Lutheran
ladies Aid Society for over 50 years, a long time member of the Menard
County Farm Bureau. She loved her family and working with flowers.
Funeral services will be held on
Friday, November 3, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in
Petersburg. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at the
Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm. Burial will be
in Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg. Memorial contributions may be made to
Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Sunny Acres Home.
