Hellon B. Dierker

1922 - 2006

Havana, IL - Hellon B. Dierker, 84, of rural Havana passed away at 8:20 pm Tues. Dec. 5, 2006 at the Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born July 29, 1922 in Nashville, TN the daughter of William W. and Sadie Brown English. She first married Glenn Barnard May 30, 1942 and he preceded her in death July 6, 1943. She later married Robert R. Dierker Oct. 23, 1946 and he preceded her in death Aug. 14, 2003.

Mrs. Dierker was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Bath, IL; the Ladies Aid Society of her church and the Mason District Hospital Auxiliary. She was a veteran of the US Air Corps serving in WWII.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Walker; Janis (Ronald) Hackman, and one son, David (Stacey) Dierker all of Havana. Twelve grandchildren, Courtney, Suzanne, Ben, Megan, Brandon, Jeffrey, Kelli, Brajyl, Heidi, Kyle, Koert and Kirston and two great grandchildren, Marley and Colton also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, and one daughter, Connie Mayes.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Sat. Dec. 9, 2006 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, conducted by Pastor Brian Lesemann. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Friday at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mason District Hospital or Riverview Estates Home.
