Herschel Henry Wark 1913 - 2006 Herschel Henry Wark, 93, of Mason City, formerly of Middletown, IL, died at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2006. He was born July 5, 1913 in Greenview, IL to Jesse and Lilly (Dietz) Wark. He married Dorothy Brinkmeyer on June 6, 1942 in Hannibal, MO. She survives. Mr. Wark is survived by his wife of Mason City, daughter-in-law, Phyllis Pamela Wark of Kansas City, MO; two granddaughters: Amy E. Bagley of Blue Springs, MO and Pamela Jo Mihalko of Kansas City, MO, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son Jim Wark. Mr. Wark was a member of the Middletown Methodist Church. He worked at Stetson China in Lincoln, IL until 1966 and then at Evans Construction in Springfield until his retirement. Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Nash Shawgo will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Irish Grove Cemetery near Middletown,IL. Memorial contributions may be made to his church. Online memorial messages may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
