Walter Marion Hull

Walter Marion Hull, 89, of Mason City, died at 10:48 p.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. He was born August 19, 1917 to Fred Rolland and Ora Ann (Hill) Hull in Mason City. He married Virginia Dabbs at Mason City October 1945. She preceded him in death on September 1, 1974.

Mr. Hull is survived by two sons: DeArmand Hull of Pine Crest West, FL and Fred (Chris) Hull of Mason City and three daughters: Mary Ann (Ken) Knoles of Mason City; Cindy Hull of Mason City and Sandy (Allen) Green of Denver, CO. Also surviving are one sister Freda Smith of Mason City, 7 grandchildren: Amy (Keith) Sikir of Indianapolis, IN, Tracy (Marc) Tiritilli of Danvers, IL, Tony Green of Denver, CO, Kevin Knoles of Mason City, Billy Fields of Mason City, James (Wendy) Fields and Cory Hull of Mason City, 2 Great-grandchildren: Molly Whitley of Indianapolis, IN and Arizona Fields of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter Rita Fields and one brother Albert.

Mr. Hull served as the Road Commissioner for Salt Creek Township for 2 terms.  He also farmed and worked for Ainsworth Seed Company.

Funeral services will be held at the Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 prior. Rev. Nash Shawgo will officiate. Burial will follow at Mason City Cemetery.
