James Henry Trimpe

1937-2011

James Henry Trimpe, 74, of Havana, passed away at Mason District Hospital in Havana at 11:32 a.m. on Friday , December 16, 2011. He was born March 14, 1937 in Mason County to Albert and Dorothy (Wendt) Trimpe. He married Mary F. Jakoby at St.Paul’s Luthern Church in Havana on November 28, 1959. She preceded him in death.

Mr. Trimpe is survived by seven sons Ronald M. (Ruth) Trimpe of Creve Coeur, Kenneth G. (Tina) Trimpe of Havana, Kevin J. (Cindy) Trimpe of Athens, Donald A. (Heather) Trimpe of Havana, Steven D. (Vicki) Trimpe of Bloomington, David R. Trimpe of Bartonville and Ronald J. Trimpe of Fairberry, IL. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one sister Clarice Trimpe of Havana. He was preceded in death by one brother Ronald (Margaret) Trimpe.

Mr. Trimpe was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Havana. Mr. Trimpe served the City of Havana for twenty two years as an alderman; he also enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and was a member of the local Jaycee’s.

Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Havana from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning at 11:00 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Havana. Rev. Wesley Reimnitz will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana.
