Havana, IL - Iona V. Reed, 82, of Havana formerly of Tamms, IL passed away at 11:50 am Sun. Sept. 17, 2006 at the Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born Dec. 13, 1923 in West Hickman, Tennessee the daughter of George and Alice Palmer Shelby. She married Melvin Reed and he died March 3, 1988.

Mrs. Reed worked for many years for Landshire Foods in Belleville, IL.

She is survived by one sister, Eula (L.D.) Scheland of Havana and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and 1 ½ sister.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Wed. Sept. 20, 2006 at the Olive Branch Cemetery at Olive Branch, IL. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 pm Tues. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hurleyfh.com.
