Irene E. Martin
1932 - 2006 Havana, IL - Irene E. Martin, 74, of Havana passed away at 2:30 am Thurs., Dec. 21, 2006 at the Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born Sept. 5, 1932 in Evanston, IL the daughter of Arthur and Mabel Reusch Holtman. She married Larry Martin Sept. 9, 1950 in Havana and he survives. Mrs. Martin was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Havana; the Methodist Women’s Auxiliary; the Havana Women’s Club and the Jaycettes. She was a secretary and licenced insurance agent working with her husband for many years in their agency in Havana selling insurance and real estate. She is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Charles) Barnam of Havana; Nancy (Brian) Barstead of Rochester, IL and Susan (Rod) Jump of Havana, one son, John (Valorie) Martin of Havana and three grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Ruth Herring of Bath, IL Services will be held at 11:00 am Wed. Dec. 27, 2006 at the First United Methodist Church in Havana conducted by Rev. Robert Smith. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at her church. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
