Irene L. Pfeiffer
1919 - 2011

Irene L. Pfeiffer, 91, of Jacksonville, formerly of Easton, passed away at her
home at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011. She was born June 29, 1919 in
Metamora, IL to Chris and Mary (Zimmerman) Moldenhauer. She married Clarence
Pfeiffer on October 15, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 8, 2008.
Mrs. Pfeiffer is survived by one son, Duane (Louise) Pfeiffer of Jacksonville
and daughter, Janelle (Robert) Warner of Washington, IL as well as seven
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers,
Harold and Howard Moldenhauer of San Jose, IL and Bill Moldenhauer of Pekin. She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Bud, Fred, Herman
and three sisters, Leola, Pauline and Pearl.
Mrs. Pfeiffer was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Topeka for many
years where she had served on the Ladies Aide. She had recently been attending
the Church of the New Covenant in Jacksonville and was active in their Life
Group.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. with
visitation starting at 4:00 at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Cremation
rites will be accorded following the services and burial of cremains will be
held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at Topeka at a later date. Rev. Tom Herbert
will officiate.
