Irma Anna Hermina Stelter

Havana, IL - Irma Anna Hermina Stelter, 96, of Havana passed away at 1:00 pm Sat. Feb. 23, 2008 at the Mason District Hospital in Havana. She was born April 13, 1911 in Havana the daughter of Fred C. and Adda Heimsoth Speckman. She was born in the same house in which she still resided. She married Julius Stelter Jan. 17, 1940 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church parsonage in Havana and he survives.

Mrs. Stelter was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana, and she was a member of St. Paul’s Ladies Aid Society. Irma was a graduate of Havana High School in 1929 and also graduated from Brown’s Business School in Peoria. She was an employee of the Havana National Bank prior to her marriage.

In addition to her husband she is survived by twin daughters, Donna and Diane Stelter both of Havana. Irma was an only child, but was very close to her cousins, Harold and Erwin Menke and Eileen and Henry Jr."Sonny" Heimsoth, who are all now deceased.

Services will be held at 11:00 am Wed. Feb. 27, 2008 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana conducted by Pastor Martin W. Liebmann, Jr. Burial will be in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Havana. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at her church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Bethesda Lutheran Home and Services or Mason District Hospital.
