Isabella Kern

(1917 - 2009)

Isabella Julia Kern, 92, of Pleasant Plains, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at her residence.

Isabella was born August 21, 1917 in Menard County the daughter of Willie and Anna Brunner Thomas. She married Richard Kern; he died in 2004. Also preceded her in death was a sister, Elsie Hinds.

She was a homemaker and member of the Salisbury Christian Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Rita Taylor of Pleasant Plains; one granddaughter, Joy (husband, Rob); and two great-grandsons (Ethan, Austin); three nieces; and one nephew.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 19, 2009 from 10:00 am till 11:00 am at Salisbury Christian Church. Services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Robert Green.

Burial will be in Salisbury Cemetery.
