Jackie "Jack" Stephens

1939 - 2011

Jackie “Jack” Stephens, 72, of Havana, passed away at Pekin Hospital at 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011. He was born April 1, 1939 in rural Havana to Virginia Stephens and was raised by his mother and step-father Lloyd Johnson.

Mr. Stephens is survived by two daughters, Cindy Stephens of Pekin and Tammy (Matt) Maher of Mapleton, IL as well as two grandchildren, Daniel and Delaney Maher of Mapleton. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Charlotte.

Mr. Stephens was retired from the US Army. He later worked as a truck driver for many years.

Cremation rites have been accorded and burial of cremains will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
