James "J.D." Doggett (1949 - 2009)
James “J.D.” Henry Doggett, 60, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 10:03 am at Memorial Medical Center. He was born on January 30, 1949 in Greenview to Malcolm and Grace Bless Doggett. He married Peggy Farley on August 16, 1974. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Doggett of Springfield; a daughter, Terri (Todd) Davis of Varna, IL; two sisters, Patty (Larry) Boyer of South Gate, CA; Nancy (Kenny) Stroisch of Greenview; a brother, Dale (Kendra) Doggett of Greenview; and a granddaughter, Breanna Turley. His parents, six brothers, and one sister preceded him in death. Mr. Doggett worked as an engineer for Illinois State Police. He was a member of Eagles Club in Springfield. He enjoyed camping at Deer Park with his family for many years. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at 11:00 am at Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Donor’s Choice.
