James W. Bridges 1963 - 2007
James W. Bridges, 44, of Havana, died at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at OSF-St. Francis in Peoria. He was born May 12, 1963 in Havana, IL to Howard and Shirley (Morse) Bridges. Mr. Bridges is survived by one daughter: Shirley Bridges of Macomb, significant other: Tammy Bishop of Havana, step-daughter: Ashley Pierce of Havana, 3 brothers: Larry (Debbie) Bridges and Kevin (Cathy) Bridges of Havana and Mark Bridges of Alaska; 5 sisters: Linda (Danny) Pratt of Bath, Marla Mayall of St. Louis, MO, Mary DeWeese of Peoria, Nelda (Randy) McCombs of Astoria and Sally (Rick) Schiffer of Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Kenny Bridges. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bridges was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying mushrooming, camping and fishing. He also was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He had worked at Intermet in Havana for over 12 years. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home in Havana. Cremation rites will follow the visitation. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date at Apple Cemetery in Fulton County. Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his daughter or to the family.
